Jozsef Forman was named the women’s indoor volleyball head coach at Coastal Carolina on January 18, 2012. He entered his 11th season at the helm of the Chanticleer volleyball team in the fall of 2022.

Over his ten seasons at CCU, Forman has led Coastal to five regular-season conference championships, four conference championship titles, and four NCAA Tournament appearances, including winning the program's first-ever NCAA postseason match in 2016. Coastal won conference tournament titles in its final two seasons in the Big South Conference in 2014 and 2015 and back-to-back titles in its first two seasons playing in the Sun Belt Conference in 2016 and 2017. The Chanticleers had at least 20 wins in each of those four seasons and posted a 55-5 combined conference record over that span.

In a unique 2020-21 academic year that saw the nation deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chanticleers finished the 2020 fall season ranked No. 14 nationally in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Fall Top 15 Coaches Poll after going 18-1 overall and a perfect 16-0 in conference play on the year. The Sun Belt Conference East Division Champions were in the AVCA Top 15 Coaches Poll in each of the final three weeks of the season, climbing as high as No. 12 on Nov. 18.

For his efforts, Forman was named the 2020 Sun Belt Volleyball Coach of the Year, his third conference coach of the year honor.

Coastal set a new program record by starting the season with 18-straight wins, surpassing the previous record-start of 9-0 in 2019, before falling in the 2020 Sun Belt Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament championship match in five sets to Texas State.

Forman's 2020 team led the Sun Belt in aces per set (1.68), hitting percentage (.276), and opponent hitting percentage (.116) and was third overall in the league in blocks per set (2.36). Individually, Brigitta Petrenko led the conference and ranked 19th nationally in aces per set at 0.51, and was tops in the league in service aces with 31 on the year. Fellow Chant Anett Nemeth was the conference leader in kills per set (4.44) and points per set (5.12), which both ranked in the top-15 overall nationally.

For the second-straight season, Nemeth picked up All-Amercia honors, as the junior was named a 2020-21 VolleyballMag.com third-team All-American and an AVCA honorable mention All-American, while also picking up AVCA All-Region accolades again. With her honors in 2020, Nemeth became the first Chanticleer volleyball student-athlete to earn All-America recognition twice (2019 and 2020).

Nemeth was also tabbed the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and 2020 Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and garnered first-team All-Sun Belt honors for the third-straight year. Fellow Chants Ani Bozdeva and  Brigitta Petrenko joined Nemeth as first-team All-Sun Belt selections, while Lina Perugini selected second-team all-conference.

In 2019, Forman's squad won the Sun Belt East Division with a conference record of 13-3 and earned a spot in the Sun Belt Championship match where the Chants fell to the Texas State Bobcats in four sets to finish the season at 24-6 overall. Forman saw three players including Brigitta Petrenko, Kyla Manning, and Anett Nemeth earn Sun Belt honors during the regular season and postseason. Manning won her second consecutive first-team All-Sun Belt honor, while freshman Petrenko was tabbed the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, only the Chanticleers' second-ever selection. The Coastal Carolina setter also earned eight conference weekly awards including four freshman of the week and four setter of the week honors. Sophomore Anett Nemeth racked up multiple awards throughout the season including, the program's first-ever AVCA All-American selection, earning fourth-team honors. Nemeth was also named AVCA All-Region, Sun Belt Player of the Year, Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, All-Sun Belt first team, Sun Belt All-Tournament Team, and a four-time Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week. Nemeth's season also saw her reach the 30-kill mark four times, including breaking CCU’s single-match record with 33 kills on Dec. 2 versus Troy.

The 2019 Chanticleers finished the season third in the NCAA with 1.99 aces per set and 10th in the nation with a .286 hitting percentage. In conference play, CCU was first in hitting percentage and aces per set, second in assists at 12.39 per set, third in opponents assists as they held their competitors to 10.65 per set, second in kills per set with 13.24, first with 2.28 blocks per set, 1.72 blocks per set was good for second, and second in the conference as they held their opponents to 12.26 digs per set.

The 2018 season marked the first time since 2013 that Forman and the Chants did not reach the NCAA postseason or win a conference title, but the season certainly had its highlights. Coastal placed second in the Sun Belt East Division with an 11-5 conference record and finished 8-1 in nine home matches that season. Forman coached senior defensive specialist Sydney Alvis to Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Sun Belt honors, while sophomore Kyla Manning and freshman Anett Nemeth also landed on the All-Sun Belt first team. Nemeth additionally set a program record by winning Sun Belt Freshman of the Week honors five times throughout the season.

In 2017, Coastal made its fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance after winning a program-record fourth consecutive conference championship. Coastal also recorded 20 wins for the fourth-straight year and, for the second-straight season, finished 15-1 in the Sun Belt to take the conference's regular-season title. Through the first two seasons of Sun Belt competition, Forman and the Chants had lost just two conference matches and were unbeaten in conference road matches. Forman was named the Sun Belt Coach of the Year, as he mentored Sun Belt Player of the Year Leah Hardeman as well as second-team All-Sun Belt selection Sydney Alvis. Forman led the Chants through 12-straight wins to close out the regular season before defeating fourth-seeded Arkansas State and second-seeded Texas State in the Sun Belt Championship Tournament to advance to the NCAA Tournament. In the postseason, Coastal suffered a tough 3-1 loss at No. 9-nationally ranked Creighton.

Forman led the Chanticleers to another season of unprecedented heights during the 2016 season. Coastal won its first-ever NCAA Tournament match, defeating James Madison in the first round in Chapel Hill, N.C. The NCAA postseason victory came on the heels of Coastal's third-straight conference championship, as the Chants knocked off top-seeded Arkansas State in their first season of competition in the Sun Belt. Coastal's 28-5 overall record set program-high marks for both wins in a season and highest winning percentage, while its 15-1 conference record earned the Chants the Sun Belt East Division title.
In addition to its sterling conference record, Coastal's non-conference slate included wins against the likes of Miami, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, and Georgia Tech, resulting in a program-best end-of-year RPI ranking of 35. Coastal also tied a program record with an 18-match winning streak from Sept. 30 - Dec. 2. Forman guided Leah Hardeman and Annayka Legros to AVCA All-Region honors, the first time in school history that two student-athletes earned that distinction. Hardeman was also named the Sun Belt Player of the Year and Sun Belt Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

Named the Big South Coach of the Year, Forman led the 2015 Chanticleers to a 25-5 overall record - the highest winning percentage in program history at the time - and made history as the first CCU team to go unbeaten in the Big South Conference with a 14-0 conference record. The unblemished conference mark gave the Chants the Big South regular-season title. Coastal completed the championship sweep by winning its second consecutive Big South tournament title. Coastal reached the NCAA Volleyball Championship for the second-straight year and recorded its first-ever set win in postseason play in a 3-1 loss to No. 16-nationally ranked Creighton in the opening round of the tournament. Under Forman's guidance, outside hitter Leah Hardeman became the first Chanticleer to receive AVCA All-Region honors and repeated as the Big South Player of the Year in only her sophomore season.

The 2014 season proved to be a breakout year for Forman and the Chanticleers. Coastal won 25 matches (third-most in program history) en route to its first Big South Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009. The Chants, who entered the Big South Tournament as the second seed, knocked off Gardner-Webb and High Point before rallying to defeat Radford in the fifth set in the championship match. Under Forman’s guidance, Leah Hardeman became just the second student-athlete in Big South history to be named both the conference’s Player and Freshman of the Year. Three Coastal student-athletes were named All-Big South, while Katie Martin was named the Big South Conference Tournament MVP. On Oct. 21, Forman led Coastal to its first-ever victory over in-state rival South Carolina in a three-game sweep of the Gamecocks at The HTC Center.

In 2013, Forman led the Chants to their second consecutive appearance in the Big South championship match after finishing the regular season in second place with a 10-4 conference record while going 19-12 overall. Included in those 19 wins was a 3-1 decision over ACC member Georgia Tech at the Lady Vol Invitational. Under Forman's direction, Coastal had two first-team all-conference selections for the first time since 2005 and four overall selections for the first time since 2003. Additionally, Lauren Alejo finished her Coastal career ranked fourth all-time in the CCU record book with 2,919 assists, while Lindsay Gill finished third all-time in CCU history with 1,503 digs.

In his first season at the helm of the CCU volleyball program in 2012, Forman helped turn around a team that had finished 5-9 in Big South play and dropped out of the first round of the conference tournament in 2011. Forman’s inaugural season saw Coastal finish 14-14 overall, but its 10-4 conference record marked the program’s first 10-win season in Big South play since 2009. Forman had one player named first-team All-Big South, two selected to the Big South All-Freshman team, and one placed on the Big South All-Academic team.

Prior to taking over the reins at Coastal, Forman served as the associate head coach at Auburn University. In 2007, the Bulldogs tallied a 3.48 overall team GPA, the best-ever recorded for the Mississippi State women's volleyball program.

During the summer of 2005, Forman returned to his native Hungary to serve as associate head coach of the Hungarian men's national team that defeated Serbia-Montenegro, who were the runners-up in the 2005 World League Championships.

Forman began his collegiate coaching career in the United States when he served as the first assistant volleyball coach at Baylor University during the 2003 season.

Forman started his coaching career as the head coach of the Vasas Sports Club, which made it to the 1990 Hungarian Cup title and recorded a fifth-place finish in the European CEV Champions League.
